She is gorgeous and had emerged as the latest sensation in Bollywood to give more than three hits in the last year. Katrina Kaif is brimming with confidence with her latest film "Singh Is Kinng" despite her recent squabble with Salman Khan. The actor speaks to TWF Bollywood correspondent on her forthcoming films

So tell me something…what's up with your relationship with Salman Khan?
Please I don't want to discuss much…rather anything about my personal life. I want to keep it personal. I am only concerned about work and more work and now I am excited about my next film Singh Is Kinng.

But of late controversies don't seem to elude you. How do you manage to handle it?
If you are a public figure people will always want to know about your personal life… I understand that. But I try to handle things in my own. I try not to lose my focus and right now my focus is on my career. I try to look at the better side of my life and that gives me a relief in a big way.

So lets talk about films… what interested you to take up Singh Is Kinng?
Oh there were so many reasons. The role and the banner but one special person would be Vipul Shah, the producer of the film. He gave me a big hit with Namastey London…my career's first and I am obliged to him.  This time he was producing it and I knew he would come with a good role. It didn't matter much. I took the film because it was Vipul's film.

It's again Abbas Tyrewala who is directing you and Akshay Kumar is also there. So it's again a threesome after the success of Welcome…
Oh…that was another of the reasons. Abbas is a great director and I was at ease throughout the time. Welcome was one of the best films I have done so far. And I am sure this time too this film is going to work out well. Audience will like it. It is a damn good role I am playing.

So how good is the role?
It is a funny story with all the elements of humor and romance packaged together. Akshay has done some amazing stunts. It's about the life of a Sardar and how lucky he is. I play Akshay's ladylove Soniya. I am modern girl who is in love with life at the same time she is very energetic and a practical person.

You look excited…do you finally find yourself in the big league with so many hits?
I have been lucky for the last year or so with all the films Partner, Welcome and Race becoming hits. It gives immense satisfaction but I still feel there's a lot to learn. I count myself among the new generation of actors and I have a lot to give.

But shouldn't you become choosy?
I don't want to be choosy but certainly I am looking for variety. My next few films see me in different roles and none have any similarity.

In fact your role in Race had shades of gray…
And I enjoyed that. That is what I was talking of. It gives a lot of satisfaction as an actor.

So what after Singh is Kinng?
A lot. I have a Shubhash Ghai film Yuvraaj with Salman, Zayed Khan and Anil Kapoor. It's a grand project and then I am paired opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Raj Kumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani and a few more projects.. I am really excited about all my films.
